Timed entry at Livraria Lello is real. Almost every other Porto queue is a bus tour, not a monument. Do not buy a Harry Potter walking tour to skip a bookstore.

Porto is not Rome. You do not need a skip-the-line industrial complex.
The exception: Livraria Lello. Timed entry is required. Walk-ups wait. The ticket is cheap; the opportunity cost is an hour in a queue for a staircase.
Skip: packaged “priority” walks that spend ten minutes in Lello and fifty minutes on Potter lore. Read the skip-the-line guide if you are deciding how this works in bigger cities.
If you still have budget after Lello, spend it on the Douro Valley, not another timed sticker.
